we just ordered a printed World Book Encyclopedia for the grandchildren! It’s a 2021, less than half the price of the current edition but still pretty expensive. Looking for used copies, we talked to our local library. It was sad: the librarian said that every library she knew has gotten rid of its printed encyclopedias, which take up valuable shelf space and now mostly sit unused. I can remember when the library’s encyclopedia was the first stop when working on a school writing assignment.
