Within a couple of days I read about how Russian users are flocking to Telegram to create private chat groups that can evade the official narrative. At the same time another country is looking into clamping down on Telegram for spreading mis/dis/information.
I’d like to think that this is soluble in a way that truth would prevail, but I’m coming to believe that there’s no real solution. My inner Luddite says shut it all down, my inner libertarian says let ‘er rip. Fortunately no one will listen to me one way or the other.
