I loved this man-bites-dog story on the surge of Americans emigrating to Mexico.
Some just like Mexico better, some are retirees, some are families of Mexicans who grew up in the US, married, had kids, etc., then were deported or felt threatened. A fascinating mix.
Why is it that non-Americans who come here are called “immigrants,” but Americans who go there are called “expatriates”?
